one sky is an instrumental album written, arranged and produced by Marina in collaboration with producer/performer/composers Randy Crafton and Chris Cunningham.
Born of dreams and meditation, each of the ten compositions features a carefully selected palette of string, wind and percussion instruments performed by a diverse group of musicians. Marina also plays keyboards and adds vocal textures on several tracks, including solo piano on A Way Home. Subtly hued by musical influences from Eastern Europe (one sky) to Ireland (first star), the many different colors of the music are reflected in the cover art, a panoramic photograph of a sunset over the Pacific that inspired the album title. The photo was taken by artist/photographer Steven Lowy, who also shot photographs for Marinas decembergirl EP. Unfold the panels of the CD to enjoy the full panorama of art and music!
